Plan your trip

Get ready for the water

A quick checklist so check-in is fast and your whole day goes to the lake.

Before you arrive

  1. Reserve. Send a request online or call (573) 723-3502. A website inquiry alone does not set up a reservation until BomBay confirms.
  2. Bring your driver’s license and your boater’s ID card.
  3. Boater license. Anyone born after January 1, 1984 needs a Missouri Boater Certificate to operate a boat or PWC. A temporary 7-day certificate is $9 at every BomBay location.
  4. Sign your contract before you arrive. Your reservationist sets it up when you book.
  5. Everyone riding signs a participation waiver, before you arrive or at check-in. Anyone under 18 riding along needs an adult to sign for them.
  6. Choose your coverage. Add the daily protection plan (boats $65 a day, covers up to $2,000; WaveRunners $35 a day, covers up to $750) or leave a refundable deposit ($2,000 boats, $750 WaveRunners).

Hours

Spring and fall: 9 AM–4 PM. Memorial Day to Labor Day: 8 AM–6 PM at every dock. Lodge of Four Seasons opens first and closes last (typically March through October); Village Marina and Dog Days run from around Memorial Day to Labor Day. Dates depend on the weather, so call (573) 723-3502 to confirm.

On the water

  • Up to 12 people per boat, 2 per WaveRunner.
  • Fuel: your boat is full when you pick it up and goes back full.
  • No mileage limit, but past the 30 mile marker you are responsible for getting a disabled vessel back.
  • Tubes and skiers are fine behind boats, not behind WaveRunners.
  • Dogs and alcohol allowed. Please drink responsibly.
