BomBay Boat Rental FAQ
Everything renters ask before they book.
Frequently asked questions
How old do you have to be to rent or drive a boat or WaveRunner?
All renters and drivers must be 21 or older (required by our insurance). That applies to boats, tritoons and WaveRunners. Drivers also need to meet Missouri boater-certificate rules.
How does the deposit or protection plan work?
Pick whichever suits your day. Our daily protection plan is $65 a day for boats and covers up to $2,000 in damage, or $35 a day for WaveRunners and covers up to $750. Prefer not to add the plan? Leave a refundable deposit instead: $2,000 for boats or $750 for WaveRunners. Deposits go back to the card you paid with, which takes about 7–10 days. At our Goofy Goose dock, deposits are $1,000 for boats and $500 for WaveRunners. As your rental contract explains, you’re responsible for any damage beyond what your plan or deposit covers.
Do I need a boater's license to rent?
Anyone born after January 1, 1984 needs a Missouri Boater's Certificate to operate a boat or PWC. If you don't have one, a one-time temporary 7-day certificate is available at each of our locations for $9.00.
What do I need to bring at check-in?
Your reservationist sets up your rental contract when you book, and you sign it before you arrive. At the dock, bring your boater’s ID card (Missouri Boater’s Certificate) and your driver’s license. Everyone riding signs a participation waiver, either before you arrive or at check-in. No boater card yet? A temporary 7-day certificate is available at the dock for $9.00.
When are your docks open?
Hours follow the season. In spring and fall, our docks are open 9 AM to 4 PM. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, every dock is open 8 AM to 6 PM. Lodge of Four Seasons (12 MM) opens first and closes last, typically March through October, and Camden on the Lake (7 MM) opens next. Village Marina (3 MM) and Dog Days (18 MM) open around Memorial Day and close around Labor Day. Opening and closing dates depend on the weather and water temperatures, so call (573) 723-3502 to confirm for your date.
When can I reach you by phone?
Call (573) 723-3502 any time of year. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, our reservations team answers in person from 8 AM to 6 PM. The rest of the year, our phone assistant takes your call and a team member calls you back.
Do you deliver rental boats?
Yes, for boat rentals of 24 hours or longer, with at least 2 days’ notice. We don’t deliver past the 30 mile marker, delivery isn’t available on Saturdays or holiday weekends, and WaveRunners aren’t delivered. Call (573) 723-3502 to set it up.
Where are your rental locations?
We have five: Village Marina (3 MM), 107 Village Marina Road, Suite 1, Eldon, MO 65026; Camden on the Lake (7 MM), 2359 Bittersweet Road, Lake Ozark, MO 65049; Lodge of Four Seasons (12 MM), 315 Four Seasons Drive, Lake Ozark, MO 65049; Dog Days Bar & Grill (18 MM), 1232 Jeffries Road, Osage Beach, MO 65065; and our Goofy Goose dock, where deposits are $1,000 for boats and $500 for WaveRunners. Reserve any location at (573) 723-3502.
Which dock has the most boats?
Lodge of Four Seasons (12 MM) has our largest fleet, with roughly 15–20 tritoons, 5 or more Cobalt ski boats and 10–15 WaveRunners. Our other docks are smaller and what’s available varies, so tell us your preferred pickup when you reserve.
How do I reserve? Can I book online?
Call (573) 723-3502 to reserve at any of our five locations. Online booking opens January 2, 2027; until then, reservations are by phone only, and online inquiry forms don't make a reservation.
How much time do you need between rentals?
Every boat and WaveRunner gets a quick turnaround so it’s fueled and clean for you: about 15 minutes for WaveRunners and at least 30 minutes for boats.
Can I book the Aqua Tiki charter?
Yes. The Aqua Tiki usually goes out once a day, so each charter is reserved as a block, most often 6 to 8 hours. Call the Aqua Tiki line at (573) 746-8616; once online booking opens on January 2, 2027, you’ll also be able to request your block on this site. Because every charter is customized, a reservationist will call you to confirm the details.
Do we have to pay for fuel?
Yes. The boat is full of fuel when you pick it up, and you refill it before you return it.
How many people fit on a rental boat or WaveRunner?
Up to 12 people on a boat (our tritoons hold 12 maximum) and 2 people on a WaveRunner.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes, dogs are allowed on our boats.
Can we pull a tube or skier?
Yes behind our boats, with skis and tubes available. Tubes and skiers aren't allowed behind WaveRunners.
Do you offer discounts or memberships?
Yes. We offer senior and military discounts, volume and preferred-customer discounts, plus boat and WaveRunner memberships (6-month season, April–September).
Is there a mile limit? Can we drink on board?
There's no mile restriction, but if anything happens to the vessel past the 30 mile marker, you're responsible for getting it back to us. Alcohol is allowed; please drink responsibly. All boats carry life jackets.
Do we provide a captain?
No, but we have a Captain Recommendation list we can provide once you make a reservation.
